1 Hefei Baoneng Global Financial Center

The project is a comprehensive building group that integrates office, hotel, commercial, museum, and sightseeing, including 7 super high-rise towers and podiums, as well as a Mall, with tower building heights ranging from 588 m to 150m. As the project leader, CUI used ABAQUS to conduct dynamic nonlinear time history analysis of tower B (450m), tower C (350m), and tower D (250m) under rare earthquake actions. Based on the results of dynamic nonlinear time history analysis, multiple schemes were proposed to improve the seismic performance of the structure.

2 Hengqin International Transaction Plaza

The project is located in Hengqin District, Shizimen Central Business District, Zhuhai, China. The building is a commercial complex consists of a transaction center, an office tower (35 story, 180m), an apartment tower (40 story, 130m) and supported shopping mall, with a GFA of approx. 104,100 sq.m. The two towers are connected by a 5-story commercial podium on the bottom, and a two-story president’s office area located 150m above the top of the apartment building. There are four basement floors below the ground level. Since 2017, CUI has been fully involved in the structural design work of the project from scheme design, preliminary design, over limit design to construction drawing.

3 Fuzhou Shimao 108 Building

The project is located in North Minjiang central business district in Fuzhou. It is a super high-rise complex that integrates commerce, apartments, offices, and hotels. It has a site area of 398,000 sq.m., with a GFA of 299,000 sq.m. above ground and 99,000 sq.m.  underground. The 108 Building is 518m above ground, with a structural height of 447.8m. It has 96 floors above ground and 4 basements. CUI participated in the design of the superstructure at various stages from scheme design to preliminary design, and undertook a large amount of complex modeling and calculation analysis work for the entire project.

4 Shenyang Global Financial Center Tower 1

The project is located in Shenhe District, Shenyang City, with a GFA of 316,600 sq.m. Tower T1 is a 105 story office tower with a building height of 498m and a structural height of 486.4m. The structural system consists of concrete core tube, outrigger truss, CFT mega column, belt truss and mega diagonal brace. CUI has been fully involved in the entire process of the structural design from scheme design to preliminary design, and undertook a large amount of complex modeling and calculation analysis work for the entire project.

5 Tower C at Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base

The project is located in the Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, occupying a site of 36,268 sq.m. with a GFA of 440,000 sq. m. The architectural plan is designed by ZHA Hadid Architects. The project consists of the East Tower (79 floors, H=394 meters), the West Tower (69 floors, H=355.7 m), a complex and irregular connection between the two towers (spanning 55-80 meters), a podium (6 floors, H=37.2 m), and a basement (3 floors, locally 4 floors). As the main member of the structural tower consulting team, from scheme design, preliminary design, over limit design to later construction design, CUI actively coordinate and communicate with institutions such as ZHA, LEAD8, SZAD, and PAG to promote professional cooperation and technical consultation. Throughout the entire structural design process, CUI completed several key tasks including research on the concrete pouring pile scheme for the tower, comparison and selection of connected truss schemes, research on the implementation method of checking the axial compression ratio of shear walls according to the Shenzhen Concrete Design Code, analysis of the proportion of component overturning moment based on the connected model, research and suggestions on the vibration reduction control scheme for tower wind-induced response, analysis of the core tube inclined wall retraction scheme, finite element analysis of the three pile cap under the outer frame column of the tower Preliminary analysis of the impact of using high-strength concrete for the core tube, and structural wind and vibration reduction analysis based on TLD water tank dampers.

6 Zhaotong Expressway Phoenix Plaza Construction Project Office Hotel Project

The project is located at the intersection of Yingbin Avenue and Zhaoma second-class highway in Zhaoyang District, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is the first super high-rise project in Zhaotong City. It has a site area of approx. 53.03 acres, with a GFA of approx. 149,800 sq.m. The project consists of a super high-rise office building, podium hotels, commercial and basement buildings. The height of the super high-rise office building is 168 m, and the height of the podium hotel building is 41.2 meters. The office building will become the tallest building in Zhaotong City. CUI was mainly responsible for the structural scheme design of the podium hotels and basement, and pile foundation design within the podium.

7 Wuhan Central China Ecological Science City Plot B&C

The project is located in Hongshan District, Wuhan City, with a GFA of approx. 1180,300 sq.m. The architectural plan was designed by ZHA Hadid Architects. This project is a three tower high-rise connected building. As the main designer of the structural discipline, CUI has been fully involved in the design of the superstructure works, such as the comparison and selection of connected structures, research on the adjustment of the shear bearing capacity of the first floor of the tower, performance-based seismic design of the tower, construction drawing of the tower, research on the BRB seismic reduction scheme of the connected structure, and research on the parameterized generation technology of the tower outer frame etc.

8 Wuxi Expo Center East Plot C Project

The project is located in the core area of the Taihu Lake New City, Wuxi, covers a total area of 45500 sq.m., including one taekwondo hall that can host international level events, one tennis hall can accommodate 5000 people, and an outdoor tennis training hall. The structural consulting work of CUI mainly includes parametric modeling and scheme comparison of steel roof structure of the tennis hall, optimization of the steel roof structure scheme of the tennis hall, comparison of main structural schemes for tennis hall and research on the steel roof structure scheme of the training hall.

9 China Resources Land Center Tower 21 (Hotel, Commercial, Office building)

The project is located in the Nancheng international business district of Dongguan City. It is a super high-rise mixed-use development consisting of commerce, hotel, office, and apartment. Tower 21 is 91 story super-high rise building with a total GFA of 759000 sq.m. The architectural height is 450 meters. As a main design participant, CUI collaborated with architects, proposed various TLD damper layout schemes using a self-developed TLD damper vibration reduction design system. Based on wind tunnel test data, CUI completed the analysis of structural wind resistance and vibration reduction schemes based on TLD dampers

10 Guangzhou Hejing Zhujiang New Town Plot A4-3 Commercial and Office Building

The projects is located in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The tower has a building height of 170m, total GFA above ground of 74426 sq.m. and 19343 sq.m. for basement. The main building functions are office and hotel, while the podium is for commercial purposes. CUI was responsible for the analysis and design of the special beam to column transfer structure. Through finite element analysis, the weak parts of the transfer structure were found, and the transfer structure was improved step by step for several times, and finally formed the optimal one.

11 Dalian Jindi Ice and Snow Mall Project

The project is located in Xinzhaizi Street, Ganjingzi District, Dalian. The project includes two individual buildings: a ski resort and a commercial building on the south side. The total GFA of the ski resort and commercial building are 26800 sq.m. and 60200 sq.m. respectively. The height of the ski resort is between 30-40m, the length of the ski resort is 298m, and the width of the ski resort is between 40-90m. As the main structural consultant, CUI completed the analysis and design of the main structure schemes and roof steel structure of the ski resort.
